Oh, Elgin

Here is a shot of The Elgin theatre in Ottawa (my hometown). It has since closed down and I purposely cropped out the fast-food chains that now reside below the sign. ugh. I love the bulky letterforms, even with their slanty cut-offs (I usually hate that in modern typefaces). I love the colour. I even love the building.

Sorry, I coudn't find much info on theatre except what I found here on wikepedia and reads more like an obituary.
